Here's the cake. It took all day Friday to make since I made each section in a bowl, and let me tell ya, it takes a long time to bake a cake in a bowl. Even longer to bake four. But, I was happy with how it turned out, and more importantly, Lauren loved it. She said, "You're making it colorful . . . I love colorful!"
Playing a game where they had to fly like butterflies and land on a flower when the music stopped. If the number flower they landed on got called, they were out. Last one in won the game.
Making a craft:
Posing with the cake:
Preparing to blow out the candles:
Listening to her Fisher Price "MP3 player" that she got for her b'day. (It's programmed with like 25 songs; it's not actually programmable.) Is it just me, or does she look way older than she ought to?

Happy belated Birthday to Lauren. You did a GREAT job on the cake! Such talent! ;-)
AWESOME CAKE! You did a great job! I know I told you the other day in Target, but I wanted to say it again.....I have thouroughly enjoyed getting to know you again through your blog. So many years since high school with no contact, but I feel like I know you again. I have really enjoyed reading your blog and have received so many blessings through your post. God bless you and your family during this Christmas season.
That cake! It turned out great! Looks like everyone had fun and I bet the kids really enjoyed eating the cake too.
Super impressed with the cake. I can remember my mom making a Tea Pot cake, a Straw Hat cake, a Lion Cake, a Rainbow cake, and a pool party scene, complete with a blue jello pool and little people. I still remember those neat cakes. Lauren will too.
